Monday the sun is out and it is 70F or 21C with a nice soft wind and some white wooly clouds!

Oh dear oh dear what a night... again! *sigh* really have to insist W. takes up sleeping quarters in the living room on the comfy pull-out bed because this ain’t working. After about 2 and 1/2 hours of sleep my feeling was that I wanted to go home. No matter how beautiful and lovely it was here i just wanted to go home to my own bed and sleep. All my joints and muscles hurt like hell and there is that overall achiness that you have when you haven’t slept for days, that spaced out feeling like you’re not from this world. And if you feel like that you can’t enjoy your environment either, all your energy is focussed on staying alive and surviving another day. Adrenal insufficiency is not a good illness to have if your sleep pattern is off, you will need to function on adrenaline and will surely crash and burn, crash and burn.

For being such expensive and on the surface, good looking condo, is sure has crappy beds and a crappy bath. One would think that they could have at least put in some nice mattresses for that price! Anyway after shedding some tears of frustration because of the lack of sleep W. convinced me to stay, sleep on the couch that night and make me a lovely breakfast of bagels, cream cheese and French toast but most importantly a nice cup of espresso made with the wabbit. For those of you who do not have a wabbit at home here is his pic, you need to get one. It’s the most simple and the most original way to make espresso. Water and espresso on the bottom, put on the stove, wait for it...... it bubbles, it’s done. YUM!
We call it the wabbit because of it’s funny ears of course ;-) It’s just big enough of 2 cups of espresso and easy to take along and does th job just as well as my expensive electric 17 barr espresso machine.

After breakfast, getting dressed, rest for a bit we leashed the pups, started the scooter and went to walk/drive the trail through the dunes that starts in front of our condo. It’s totally hard surface so wheelchairs, bikes, rollerblades and moms with strollers can also enjoy it. The trail is 2.5 mile long and all the time you have the few of the coastline, the sea and the dunes. Gorgeous! The sun was not too warm and there was a nice breeze. We were the only ones out there, it’s so quiet even the complex of condos itself has only a few visitors. I thought it would be packed this time a year but apparently the economic times also took their toll on this part of the country.
We unhooked the leashes of the dogs and let them have the run of the path, their noses worked overtime, they had a blast sniffing out all kinds of wonderful new smells and every little grass blade needed to be chewed on and tasted. I have a strong feeling that Fynn was a cow in a prior life, the way he eats grass as if it’s the finest cuisine ever. Well maybe he’s right and do we humans not know what we’re missing by not tasting those delicious grassy blades. ;-)

Along the trail are 3 viewing platforms were I took some nice pictures. I’m still practicing with the new camera and look forward to the new course I’m about to take. We didn’t walk all of the trail but intend to walk the other part from the harbor. The trail goes all the way from our condos to the harbor. The spot where the surfers enter the surf we turned around.

Photos below are from the trail through the dunes. Again, click on the images to see the larger version!

Didn’t do much the rest of the day, had lunch, did a little reading, W. went swimming in the pool, I had my siesta(if I didn’t have those I wouldn’t make it through the day!).I didn’t the shopping for dinner and cooked tuna in creamy Alfredo sauce with chives and onions and spinach fettucini with a salad of Roma tomatoes, olives, cucumber and a balsamic vinegar dressing. Coffee on the balcony, end of the day. ;-)

W. has folded out the bed now and it looks comfy, he and the pups will sleep here while I will occupy the bed of horror by myself tonight.

Have a good one you all!
