Today warm with 75 F or 23 C.!
I did not sleep a wink, kept dozing off but could not find a comfortable spot on the bulky mattress. I absolutely hate beds strange beds!
Today we made the mistake of checking out Aberdeen. Very disappointing. It is a dirty run down small town the town is famous for being the birth place to grunge music style. Aberdeen is the birth place of Curt Cobain and if you have ever seen Cobain and if you have been to Aberdeen your will know that the two of them are surprisingly similar.
We walked the ‘touristic’ pathway along the river, which could have been nice if not for the chemical factories on the other side of the river and the highway on the other side of the path. A special ship that was rebuild after a model that was used when they discovered Aberdeen and the west of WA was suppose to be moored there but it wasn’t. It’s a museum ship and I have no idea where it went but we couldn’t visit it of course.
I had one address that said it was a very nice home bakery with lovely tarts and pies, we stopped there and took home some of the goodies and that was it! The US version of Aberdeen can’t compare itself to the original Aberdeen, which is a lovely lovely place! it’s a shame it’s so run down, I guess this economy doesn’t help to improve the city’s attempt to clean up either.
On our way home we decided to stop by the harbor, we saw signs along the road that said Tuna was on sale in the harbor. So we went and had a look at how much it would cost. Bought whole tuna for $30! Big Tuna, now have to think of ways how to bring home rest of tuna after we have cut of some nice steaks for tonight.

Meal was absolutely wonderful. We watched the sunset from the balcony with a nice espresso and than SYTYCD on TV and off to bed.
Tomorrow is our last day, want to buy some souvenirs on the boardwalk and a present for my new son in law who has a birthday coming up.
Hope I will get at least some sleep tonight, I am really exhausted!

The Pacific Coast
This blog is about the time we spend at the Pacific Coast. Our first stop and base is Westport WA, where we will sty for a week, relax, take in the sights, watch the dogs run on the beach and just enjoy the peace and quiet.
Westport is a very small community on the Washington State Pacific Coast. The Washington Pacific differs a lot from the Oregonian Pacific. Where the Oregonian is rocky and wild the Washington beaches are flat, large quiet empty spaces. A lot of surfing is going on at the WA Pacific, the surf is just right at several spots. In Oregon the surf is way to dangerous to do recreational surfing, Oregon is famous for its sneaker waves. They sneak upon you when you have your back to the sea for a moment and drag you into the current.
We love both State beaches, we also got to enjoy the Californian Pacific but that would take a whole new blog to tell about the Californian Pacific virtues. We lived in Point Reyes Station in the Point Reyes National Seashore Park which is basically on the Pacific. To me it's the most magical place I have ever lived.
